In Greece, cybercrime has been on the rise—especially scams targeting older adults.

According to the Hellenic Police, thousands of Greek seniors were targeted in 2023 through phishing emails and deceptive online messages, often pretending to be from banks or public services.

If you receive a message that seems urgent or suspicious:

Don’t click on unknown links

Contact your bank or service provider directly

Ask a family member or friend if in doubt
