JOINT STAFF TRAINING – DAY TWO!

We’re back with an update from the second day of our Cyber Safe Senior training in Slovenia, hosted by our wonderful partners at Simbioza . After an inspiring kick-off today’s sessions dived deeper into the core of digital safety education for seniors.

Module 1: Cybersecurity Basics

Delivered by trainer from Poland

Topics included:

Key cybersecurity concepts

Safe email usage

Password security and device protection

Empathy and clarity in working with seniors

Small group work and practical simulations helped participants gain confidence in explaining complex cybersecurity topics in a senior-friendly way.

Module 2: Common Online Scams Targeting Seniors

Conducted by a Slovenian trainer

Topics included:

How scammers use urgency, fear, and trust (social engineering)

The psychology and red flags of scams

Practical case studies and improv scenarios

Participants practiced how to clearly explain scams, guide seniors in safe online behavior, and develop useful reminder handouts.

Through group discussions, simulations, and experience sharing, our 25 future trainers are gaining the tools and mindset needed to support seniors in becoming more cyber aware and confident. Tomorrow, we continue with new modules and more interactive activities. Stay tuned as we empower a safer digital future for our seniors!
